Close bank account in AZ

I think it would depend on what the companies who submit the debits do, what their state allows, etc. It seems that some companies are considering returned ACH debits the same thing as a bounced check, so they could try to pursue whatever remedy their and or your state allows.

Dawn, Please read the sticky at the top of the page regarding closing your account. Some banks will force open a closed account if an ach comes thru. It will cause alot of fees to add up. you could wind up owing the bank a lot of money.
