Im sooo scared i feel nautious....I had 5 payday loans. 2 were legal, so i made arrangements with them. 3 were not....United Cash Loans, One Click Cash, and One Step Cash. I complained to the BBB, and got a response from One click that they settled my acct in full, so I checked United Cash website since they are the same. Again, it said paid in full. Now Me and my Supervisor get a call at work from 405-308-4656 saying they are working with the FBI and are filing check fraud charges against me, and read me all my info ( Social, email, address ) and then yelled at me, and hung up on me and my sup. :-( Im soo scared that they can do this. Who can I call, and what can I do???

I got a phone call like that today saying that I was going to be charged with 3 counts and was going to be downloaded tonight. They said they wrote off the debt as bad and didn't want any money but were going to charge me and that I was going to be taken to jail. I get scared and panicy everytime they call. I wish I could make them go away too. But I feel your pain.

I dont know who it was. their name was michael from united investigative services. He screamed his head off at me. I dont want them calling my supervisor. they are going to get me fired. He said my email was monitored and i applied for a loan and didnt pay it back. i asked where the original loan was from and he said " You took it, you should know"

Call them back ( seriously ) and ask if there is anything you can do to resolve this issue.

Remain calm.

I'll bet my last buck they will suddenly come up with an amount and way for you to send them money.
Think of it this way....why would YOUR e-mail be RANDOMLY monitored by the fed's? And if it was randomly monitored, how would they know if you paid a debt or not based on an e-mail?

What that guy just did, was make a false claim that included the FBI. Hello felony.

Do your best to remain calm, but act as if you want to repay this loan ( whether or not you have one ) badly. They should be able to give you a money gram or western union info. If they ask for a credit card number, tell them to shove it.
After getting the info, ask for a written statement of your debt, and debtor. You'll get yelled at or hung up on.
If they're still on the line, inform them you will call your state attorney or department of finacial institutes.

No cop in any town in this country is going to go arrest someone for bad debt. The jails are over crowded enough. Threatening to do so is illegal under the fair debt collections act.

Remember to also tell them that they are no longer to contact your employer and that if they persist the company will press charges.
