their phone # is 888-995-0615 they are a collection agency for check'n'go. I posted this over in the collection side, but figure i may have more luck here.

thanks

Hi Pepper,
They called me at work, and I have gotten in a habit of screening my calls since I don't have a display. I told them I wasn't here, and they said they had some kind of "affadiavit" and looks like I may be served, and wanted to give me a heads up. I almost spit out my Soda this morning when he said that. Last I checked. Sheriff's office "served" people and they do not make "calls" ahead of time. The guy urged me to contact the # and make some kind of arrangements w/ them. and gave me a refernece number. I'm in WI. I googled the number and apparently alot of other people have the same "issue" with these people. So i'm making the assumption that they are a collection agency. They can't "serve" me anything because our laws state that you can't criminal action.

I'm in Texas. They told me the same thing. Like you, I know that process servers don't call you to try to get you to keep them from serving you papers nor do they care if you fix the problem or not.

What was the person's name that called you? The "process server" that calls me is Kevin, but when I did actually call Check Resolutions person with my account is named Seth and amazingly Seth sounds just like Kevin!!! The voice is very distinct.

It is pretty nerve wracking and worrisome. I wouldn't have a problem making arrangements on this account, but I refuse to give him my banking or debit card information and they won't give me an address to mail payments.

Steph

I AM SO THANKFUL THAT I CAME ACROSS THIS BOARD THIS COMPANY IS CALLING ME AS WELL BUT THEY ARE STATING THAT THEY HAVE A SUMMONS THAT NEEDS TO BE SERVED ON ME AND I NEEDED TO CALL THE 800 NUMBER ASAP. WHEN I CALL AND ASK QUESTIONS I GET THE RUN AROUND! WHEN I ASKED WHERE THE SUMMONS WAS SENT THE LADY SAYS "WE SENT IT TO YOUR COUNTY" AND WHEN I SAID OH REALLY CAN I HAVE THAT INFO I WAS PUT ON HOLD AND THAN AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES A MAN GETS ON THE PHONE AND GOES INTO THIS BIG SHMEIL, I SAID I JUST WANTED THE INFO BECAUSE I KNOW HOW THE PROCESS WORKS IN MY COUNTY AND IT SOUNDS LIKE NONSENSE. I THINK WE SHOULD ALL FILE COMPLAINTS ON THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

they called me on 12/01 and stated he was a process server and his name as john and said he received a fax for me today to serve me a summons and he would not state who this was for. He said that i was to call check resolutions immediately. i explained that i was a work and could not call until got off work, i asked the guy what time check resolutions was open till and he siad I DON'T KNOW, BUT I am only in until 6:00 and if i don't here back from check resolutions before he leaves for the day that my life is pretty much over. When i got off work I called an left a message on the main number and asked this company to call me back, but no call back. Should i get an attorney. i can make payment arrangements with them, but I am afraid they may want all at 1 time.
