I defaulted on a Cashland (storefront) payday loan on Feb 6th and was contacted a couple of weeks ago by their collections office. I was supposed to pay in full March 20th but ran into problems paying it. I left the collections person a message asking if I can pay in 3 equal payments over the next 3 paydays. I also made $100 payment in the store this past weekend. I haven't heard back from their collections office so I'm not sure what is going on....not hearing from them is almost worse than hearing from them in this case. Will they file suit right away? anyone had any experience with Cashland in repayment plans? I am in Ohio and with the new small loans PDLs are using they do not allow EPP repayment plans like they did before.

Any help is appreciated!! :)

Hello cheekla,

You can find CASHLAND licensing information for your state here.

As for the EPP that is usually offered to consumers a day before the loan comes due, not after default. You may want to call their corporate office to see if you can work out some sort of payment arrangments.

When you went to make the payment, did you speak with the store manager about the status of your account?
