Hi Lisa,

you have come to the right place for help. I was in a situation very simular to yours and I must tell you that it won't be easy and it will take alot of work, a tough chin and dedication on your part. But there are alot of great people on this site that will offer you some great advice and point you in the right direction.

So just know that you have taken your first step to financial peace.

what state do you reside in and why is next week D-Day, is that we you expect to receive your work pay?

I cant believe I forgot the state... I live in Utah. Until now I have been "making the money work", I do receive my check weekly and next week is when pretty much all of these payments are going due at the same time. I am going to be in a real bind. I kbnow from reading other threads on this site that there are great people here that can help me and I started to feel a little better as soon as I started to read the great things this community has done for other people who have gotten wrapped up in these payday loans. I hav been wanting to close one of my accounts for a while, and I am not sure if I can now.

check out the payday loan section of this website for some great advice. You are not alone as, I too stood in your shoes 2 years ago. I was working just to pay these turkeys off. There is valuable info on this site that will allow you to sleep at night and keep some of your paycheck at the same time. Good luck!

Lisa,
You are not alone here, as there are many of us who have been where you are at now. It IS going to be OK--OK?? Like one of the posters said, it's going to take alot of hard work on your part, and that's absolutely correct, but I know you are tough and can do this.
You need to take baby steps here, and the first thing you must do is get control of your money. And the only way you are going to do this is by first, closing your bank account and opening a new one. I would advise going in and having a talk with the branch manager if you could do that, or do it over the phone.
If this isn't an option, then have the bank put fraud alerts on your account, which means they can't debit unless you give permission.
If you do get a new account number, DO NOT give the number to anyone!!

If there is anyone who could help me with some information on how to approach these loan companies and what exaclty i need to tell them I would really appreciate it.

i am scared to close my bank acct because in the state of utah it states they can sue in civil court. also I am ultimately trying to build my credit so we can buy a house... please help me anyway you can.

CAN ANYONE ONE TELL ME WHAT TO DO NOW??

I JUST RECEIVED THIS BY EMAIL STATING THAT THEY ARE RENEWING THIS LOAN YET AGIAN. I BELEIVE I ONLY OWED THEM A TOTAL OF $20 MORE TOWARDS THE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT AND THIS ONE WOULD HAVE BEEN PAID OFF. I HAVE TRIED TO LOOK IT UP ON THE BBB AND EVERYWHERE ELSE I CAN THINK OF AND THEY DO NOT SHOW UP. PLEASE HELP ME ASAP. I ACTUALLY HAVE NOT HAD A CHANCE TO GET TO THE BANK YET THIS WEEK (ALREADY A LOT OF PROBLEMS AT WORK, DONT WANT TO ADD MORE BY BEING LATE) AND THIS MORNING WHEN I LOOKED I WAS -400. I KNOW THIS AMOUNT IS JUST GOING TO CONTINUE TO GO UP AND I HAVE AT LEAST 4 OR 5 OF THE LOANS DUE THIS FRIDAY. MY PAYCHECKS ARE NOT EVEN ENOUGH TO COVER THE FULL -400 LET ALONE EVEN THE FINANCE CHARGE ON ANY OF THESE LOANS AND I ONLY HAVE TODAY TO FIGURE THIS OUT SINCE MOST ONLINE LOANS REQUIRE 2 TO 3 DAYS NOTICE. PLEASE HELP!!

The only way you are even going to start getting your arms around this is by closing your bank account! See if you can call the bank, if you can't get there and get them to give you a new account number. In most banks, your personal information should transfer over if you have a fraud alert on the closed account.
I am telling you from personal experience, that this is the only way to start doing it--otherwise, the nightmare will continue. You can also make payment arrangements that you can afford with these PDL's, once you know your money is in a safe place. You owe it to yourself!

i talked with the bank today, they said they can transfer my account to a new account number so the companys wont have permission to ach withdrawl anymore. now what is my next move? how do i keep these companys from calling my friends, family and pkace of business? also i read something about a form to withdrawl my ach authorization? how do i begin making payment arrangements?
