How do I find out if a Pay day loan or cash advance is legal in the IL

I have a few PDL's and today I closed my account "hard close" so that my account cant be forced open.
I am working on my letters and want to send them out today and tomorrow.
I would like to know if anyone has any info on where to find out if these places are legal or not.
