Payday loans are harrassing me
Date: Thu, 07/09/2009 - 10:43
I just had a call come in from National credit adjusters and they told me they have one of my payday loans with summit group for $190. And they had a old credit card on there from HSBC for 990 dollars. I told them I would set something up to pay everything off but right mow I could not do it I am another payment arrangement set up with another payday loan company and then in august I am starting on another payment agreement with my 3rd payday loan company then I will have them paid off I told him I could set something up within the next month and a half but he said that is not accepatble and questioned why I dont have money to pay this off and was veru rude I told him you do not know my living situtation and that I will pay them back as soon as I can I am waiting for my fiance to settle a SSD case he is disabled and has been out of work for 4 years so I am struggling and I know that I should have paid them back right away but I got caught up with having 3 loans at a time plus my morgage and all my bills and 2 children take care of all on a 28,000 dollars a year job with 4 people in my household. I asked him what will happen to me if I am not able to pay this back by the end of the month and he told me that he could not tell me anything to call my lawyer and ask him I thought that they are obligated to tell me if they are taking me to court or not. Like I said he was very rude. I dont know what to do and I am nervous because I want to pay it but I cant right now I dont have it.

If this is a collection agency you need to tell them they have 5 days after their first initial contact to send you a dunning letter in the mail with the mini miranda warning, per the FDCPA, read about it at the link below.
