aca recover for beacon PDL

I got calls from ACA Recovery, they are rude and harass me at work and say it is on behalf of beacon. They will not provide me with Beacons information either. I finally because they kept calling at work set up some payments and made 2 $75 payments. Now my hours are at work were greatly reduced so I cant do this. They sent me INTENT TO SUE letter and called today. I told her I could make another payment 5/3 on my next payday but she said she needed money now. I can’t do this now! She hung up and said I WISH YOU LUCK before hanging on me.
Do you know is this a real collection company? Can they harass me like this? Can they sue? Ever hear of beacon? I think it was Omni DBA Beacon?

first beacon is not legal period.now since they sent a letter doesn't matter what it says.is there an address for ACA?if so send them a DV(debt validation)letter.i'm suprised they actually sent a real letter as this is a complete piece of garbage that specializes in illegal internet pdl's.beacon is an illegal ipdl.was this mailed,or emailed?again if regular mail send the DV to the address on the letter.if emailed respond with an emailed DV letter.either way dispute this and do not pay because of illegal threats.

I wouldn't bother with a DV. I would send this company a cease and desist letter. Explain that you have since found that Beacon is operating without a license which renders your "contract" with them UNENFORCEABLE.
