I owe 1052.00 on an original $1,000.00 already paid over $1,600.00 back.. I am since unemployed tried to make a settlement & company declined. Have since researched and believe payday loans are not legal in NC... The company is in Oklahoma... I filed complaint with FTC & State attoneys office, my bank account they were debiting is also closed... I have written them and told them what I have done & asked for the account marked closed paid in full & want the overpayment of 600.00 returned to me leaving them with the original loan amount of 1,000.00 paid back..am I on the right track, or can you offer any input? Thank You

You have done the right thing

You have done the right thing by closing down your bank account. Payday lending is prohibited in NC. All lenders in this state are illegal. Don’t share any personal information with them. You may ask them for the refund, but it fully depends on their discretion whether or not to return back your money.
