I have had Mr. Johnson from Ace Cash Express call me, I told him I could not afford the full amount and then he told me he would take half and I told him I will pay what I could, I went in and paid $50.00 on the loan that was in default, The next Monday he left me a voice mail saying he did not like the way I handled this and to have a nice day and he would be contacting my office so they would not be caught off guard. I had closed my account because my wallet was lost at the gym. I needed to make sure I paid my rent, electricity and just have not been able to catch up, I am now at a point were I can catch up since I will be getting my deposit back form my old apt with in the next two weeks and it should be around $700.00 and it will pay off the $529.00 loan. I did go in and make a payment on Saturday when my deposit posted and I mailed him a letter and a copy of the receipt showing that. They seem to not want to make and deals other than the full amount. I want to know can I go to jail since I did make a good faith payment and I do plan to make the rest of the payment when I get the money. I took the loan out in Texas. PLEASE HELP!
