I am going to go by my bank and stop the ACH withdrawl for my loan with goodtimecash.com, my question is this, as the loan is due to pay tomorrow, has anyone had experience with the companies running it through as a different company name, and if so, how long before they run it through again? I know they can, but I figure if I can stop the one in the morning, then I can run to the bank and close the account really quickly to avoid anything else. I have tried getting in touch with them, but their number is always busy and when I called the Chippewa Tribe Business Committee, they gave me a number to PDLLoanCenter, who is unable to make changes to accounts, only can view them. Also, if this company is going under or whatever, do I still have an obligation to them to pay? I did afterall, sign a contract with them and not a differenct company.

did you pay anything down on it yet? i do not know if they really are going under or just changing names, which is common - they are probably all just the same company.
you are morally obligated to pay back what you borrowed, since i am pretty sure this company is illegal everywhere (some please correct me if they are legal somewhere).
refer to the sticky about closing bank accounts - it is kind of a hassle sometimes, i lost a lot of money when i tried to close mine.

Need more clarification here. You are stopping the payment with them due why? You stated you been trying to get a hold of the company, so have you overpaid on the loan?

In my opinion you just answered your own question. It is suggested regurlary here if the lender is unlicensed and a Illegal company. Then you are ONLY to pay the principal borrowed atleast.

i am confused, too.. i assumed that the poster was trying to close the account for some reason (not sure why?)
stopping an ACH tommorow will not really do anything, since it probably debits before the bank even opens and the company will simply go in under a different name. The bank might give you a hard time on this issue, as well.. did you overpay this company?

I don't mind paying the loan, the way that they have it set up, but my paydate has changed to next week Friday, so the money won't be there tomorrow. I have over paid on the loan by $300 now, ($500 loan, paid $800 to date) and they are due to take another $185 tomorrow. I talked to the bank and they said that they could put a stop payment on it, and if it went through they could reverse it. I acutally talked to a guy at PDLLoancenter and he said that they would pay for any overdraft fees that I might incur.

Unless you have that in writing consider it null and void. These guys can be real forgetfull when money is involved.

You have well overpaid the loan, so you have seemed to taken the proper steps in securing your account. They actually owe you a refund :? Did you send this compnay a ACH revocation letter in the past about this debit?

I haven't closed the account yet, I plan on doing it tomorrow once I make sure the ACH doesn't (or does) go through.
I have read that the revocations get "lost" and what not, but I know to cover my bases and send the letter registered.
I'm sure, after reading others who have used this "company" that I'll never see a refund, but I guess it's worth a shot. I'll print off one of those fancy letters y'all have written up in the stickys and give it a shot! Thanks for all the help.

I have considered doing a hard block, but I have a question about that too. If I do that, I have a legit loan with CashNetUsa that is due to payoff tomorrow, ($100) how would that affect me with them? Do you think I should contact them and let them know my intentions and see what they say?
