I've seen this on two of my internet payday loan websites. Is this for real?

It means that you can only revoke recurring debits - - - of course the lender didn't bother to tell you that their practice of automatically refinancing the loan "for your convenience" (LOL!) and telling you they will do so in the loan documentation makes an internet payday loan a "recurring debit" that you most certainly CAN revoke the authorization on.
