Has anybody ever dealt with Uncle Warbucks? How do they handle ACH revocation, collection etc. Any advice and tips on how to deal with them would be greatly appreciated. I sent them ACH revocation a few times, I replied to their last email reminding them I revoked their ACH authorization on Aug 30 and they completely ignored it, they didn't even acknowledge any of my emails... I suspect they're going to be more responsive when their ACH transaction is returned by my bank for lack of proper ACH authorization...we shall see!

alot of illegals had their rights revoked especially out of the country pdl's.as far as the collection issue.technically you owe nothing as the loan is illegal, but we always advocate paying the principle borrowed, and nothing more.

East Side Lenders morphed into UWB...both go through Centrinex. Send them an email and it will come back undeliverable with paths to these two companie s.

East Side Lenders was ordered by the MD Commission of Financial Regulation to cease and desist making loans in MD...it is interesting that they now go by UWB. Wondering if MD Commission should know about this?

Did you look at their website??? customerservice@unclewarbucks.com

They are an illegal unlicensed Canadian lender based in Quebec. Follow the link in my signature line for full information on how to deal with them. Make sure your bank account is closed!!

Matt-look at that undeliverable email again and you will also see that there is a path to East Side Lenders. They show their contact information as based out of Quebec, but most shady lenders give misleading info and don't reply to emails. If this is your first loan with them I would expect a hassle, if not, most illegal lenders will look at your past history and cut you some slack based on money they already made on you. Best of luck.

BTW, Centrinex is the ACH outfit that handles most online payday loans.

took $300.00 and my bank first sided with them...until I reminded my bank about the LAW...then the $300 were refunded...next out of spite, UncleWarbucks debited $1,300!!! which of course were refunded within a week but that was a bit scary... now my account is listed as "collections" so I am hoping no more ACH but I am paying my bills a week away from payday just in case...so if need be I get a refund yet again. I know you're going to tell me to close my bank acct but that would be a hassle and for now I am staying put. The other PDLs have been very quiet, some are asking for credit/debit card number, even offering to wave fees...evidently the ACH network is no longer accessible for many of them... Hydra Fund II, Boulevard/Seaside Cash, SGQ, Greenwood... Thanks NY for cracking down on banks and putting them on the spot for being complicit with illegal PDLs!!! Maryland has also been cracking down...

Is unclewarbucks.com out of business? I recieved a goofy email from a COSTARICA4 saying that they could'nt debit my account but to call them to pay another way. No payment came out and my balance is showing as .00 . Does anyone know what happened?

since they had their ACH rights revoked i'm guessing you aren't the first, and won't be the last to be contacted.i'm also guessing you closed your account,or revoked their ACH with your bank.either way tell them to go scratch.if they were legit they wouldn't be in this position.

Same thing happened to me. I had called them to ask how much was going to come out of my acct last pay day and they told me..now they never took that money and then it said I owed some for this pay day and my account says inactive and .00 balance. I'm kind of scared what these people might do. Maybe I should call my bank?

They did not contact me. I called them twice to make sure they took their payment and requested an email to show that it was paid in full. As the other gentlemen mentioned, seems like their ACH has been revoked and they are scrambling to understand what they can do. I allowed them to charge me out and sent them an email revoking their access to my account. Don't know if I should change my account (just yet); but may do so in order to make sure as I don't trust them. For example, they gave me the "discount" for last month and were supposed to only take $370. But when they realized their mistake they told me I had to pay $400.00. I explained that I had paperwork showing $370 and provided them with a copy and then they pretended like they didn't get that email and renewed the $300 loan. Then this month, tried the ACH and was told they were having technical difficulties with their ACH. Bull crap! So I hope I am done with them. If you haven't used them...don't!

They just left me a message that they have been trying to collect payment for weeks now but keep sending me payment notices each payday. Very confusing. Sounds like an error on their end.

you don't offer a thing.you do send the ach revocation, and wage assignment revocation letters, but since they won't agree to that it's a waste of time.just send those letters and wait.

I took a loan in Oct with UWB and had also been receiving emails that they have been rcving my paymnt yet I too have not seen a deduction in the loan? Have called them several times because I have been receiving emails from them that there were problems with my loan. They had my account # to deposit the monies to my account why would they not have my account # to deduct the payments? They are unreachable by phone and I don't know what else to do.

I have the same problem. But they keep me emails telling me how much I owe like they are taking the money out. When I called they said that they can give me 50% off and the quote that they gave me is almost the amount of the loan. I want to pay what I owe. But not any extra. They did tell me that the ACH is not working and that I can pay by bank card. I don't know what to do.

Yes I am having the same problems with UWB. Try to call and don't receive calls back from them. Not sure how to settle this but as advised in the stream here will file a ach revocation, and wage assignment revocation letter. I don't know what else to do since I cannot get ahold of them.

Just got a collection call from Allied Asset Management - I have gotten a couple emails and phone calls which were very lax in information from Uncle Warbucks saying I needed to call and make a payment. I sent the proper email stating no more ACH, wage assignments, etc. and stated they were not legal in the State of Ohio. I have immediately faxed a C&D to Alliance......now what?

if they violate it by contacting you,or anybody else you sue them.ohio is a one party state meaning you can record them without informing them.they won't do squat as they are a bottomfeeder, and UWB is not legal in ohio.so just wait.if they don't want a potential lawsuit they will abide by the c&d.however allied can still pass it to another bottomfeeder so be prepared to act against them as well when that happens.
