In 2010 i got a loan for 1500 from think cash first bank of delaware...shortly there after my husband was diagnosed with cancer and passed away very quikly leaving me in such a mess...Since that time i have been on welfare and just recently got on ssdi...I also remarried and was just aded to my husbands credit card accounts...Fbd is now trying to serve me with papers to go to court....the woman who called me the other day says the credit cards are considered assets and says i can use them to pay... just because i am on the credit card does not mean i have the money to charge or pay them ...i was thinking of tryiong to contact Fbd to make a payment arrangement....is this a good idea?

Finding out if an old debtor suddenly has valid credit is not a very tough job for CAs, especially the bottomfeeders. The question is, how to handle the problem. Think Cash used to be fronted by FBD before it went the tribal way.
Now since your loan is from 2010 when TC was still in business, unless the SoL is up, the debt would still be valid. Your best bet is to ask the CA for their physical address and hit them with a DV request. If they can come up with proper validation, negotiate a settlement with them or set up a payment arrangement.
