I have one with Advance America that is for 500$ and I pay 180 a month, continually rolling it over. I have paid this amount for nearly 1 year. They have received over 2000$ in interest alone from me during that time.
I was thinking about contacting their coorporate office and explaining my financial situation and that I just can not keep up. DO you think they will just cancel my loan?

I also have 2 other payday loans that are about the same age, same amount, same situation, again having paid them over 2000$ in finance charges. These companies are CheckMate and Quik Cash.

Has anyone had success in gretting a payday loan company to forgive a debt when they have paid such excess finance fees?

Ask them for the EPP (Extended payment plan), that will allow you to pay off these loans in four seperate payments and the interest stops. Ask them if they are members of the CFSA (I think they are). Read about extended payment plans at the link below, number 11.
