I'm trying to decide what to do about the following 3 loans.

Cashnetusa - original loan amt $650 on 5/24
paid - 256, 204, 185, 193, 151, 198, 159, 205 = 1551
additional advance - 140, 89, 235, 213, 94 = 771 + 650= 1421
still owe $450

peppercash - original loan $500 on 5/27

06/10/2011 $175.00 finance fee

06/24/2011 $175.00 Returned item (Non-Sufficient Funds)

07/08/2011 $175.00 finance fee

07/22/2011 $175.00 Returned item (Non-Sufficient Funds)

08/12/2011 $225.00 ($50.00 principal balance + $175.00 finance fee)

08/26/2011 $207.00 ($50.00 principal balance + $157.50 finance fee)

9/9 $190

I paid the returned items via NCS, when I got an email from them saying how much I owed.
$258.40 + 192.50 (I did not authorize the 2nd payment, I called them and tried to dispute) =
1422

paydayloanyes - original amount $200
paid $60
(had another loan with them, already paid it and got another one)

I live in North Carolina, now.
Cashnetusa and peppercash - I was living in Kansas when the loans were originally taken out.

I work in a high profile job, I do not want to risk losing my job if I choose not to pay anymore and they start calling my work.

Is it possible to call them and set up a payment plan to extend them payments out over a couple months?

I've not heard of anyone successfully doing that. I realize I could close my checking account and send them letters, but again I risk losing my job.

Now that i see how much I've paid, I under stand where all my money is going!!

Does the law apply to where the loan originated or where I live now?

Aside from closing my account, what else can I do to stop paying them?

Cashnet is pretty even at the moment, I've clearly overpaid peppercash, and I've already paid paydayloanyet nearly double.

If they are illegal in NC, am I breaking the law by getting them?

CashNetUSA is a CSO / Installment loan lender. Payday loan laws don't apply to them.

You need to first close your account and then contact CNU to set up an extended payment plan. They will work with you.

Send the others an illegal lender email and file complaints with your state's attorney general and the FTC.
