I need some help, I got a payloan from payday loan yes. I read the terms and they have taken money out of my account before the agreed upon date. I borrowed $350.00, they have taken a finance charge out of $105.00 today, and caused some of my checks to bounce I really don't know what to do. Should I cancel this checking account or can I just block them. I sent them a letter revoking them from drafting my account but what will keep them from calling me. Please Help!!!

Someone will be along shortly to advise you on what actions you should take. Please provide us with more details such as what state do you reside in, are they internet or store front? I am afraid you may have to close your account to prevent them from getting anymore money from you. Please read the sticky about closing your account.

Go to your bank in person and fill out a letter of dispute for the amount that was debited to your account, explain this to your bank, make sure you tell them you did NOT authorize this. I'm afraid you will probably have to close your account to keep Payday Yes out of your account. I'm not sure about the laws and the legalities of that particular PDL company in your state, but you can at least dispute the amount debited for now until someone comes along to give you further information on what to do. You will need to provide us with more information though as Ladybug suggested.

North Carolina prohibits pay day loans. So this company will not be lending legally to you. You can send them letters until you're blue in the face. They will continue to debit until they have WELL over the borrowed amount of money from you. You need to go to your bank, dispute this amount and see if they will reverse it back on to your account. You need to close your account, since the pdl has the information on you and will debit you to death. Then repay them only the principle amount borrowed. You can pay by money order at your convenience.

Once, when you go to close your account, let the bank know you have other things pending. Tell them exactly what they are and for how much and they should be able to work with you....Mine did. PDL Yes will keep debiting your account as long as it remains open. Please take care of this asap. IF possible you want to try to open a new account at another bank. We have all been where you are and will help you through this, please try not to be stressed out and ask any questions you may have. Also, please read this link. It has good information you should keep in mind when dealing with your bank.
