Alpine Direct and CMG Group LLC

I sent my personalized version of the letter under "dealing with illegal lenders" to Alpine Direct and CMG Group. I received $300 from each and to date have paid $1350 on each. I have so far only received a response from CMG asking that I c all them to discuss. Has anybody had any success getting them to mark it paid in full? I also requested a refund for overpayment. Has anybody ever gotten that from them?

If you can negotiate with them in a proper manner, then there are high chances that you will be able to mark it as paid in full. If CMG Group and Alpine Direct are unlicensed and illegal in your state, then they are bound to give you the refund of the excess amount that you've paid them. This is because, they won't be able to claim anything other than the principal amount.
