Hi -

I currently have three pdls out since September 15th and live in New York. I haven't missed a single payment yet, but the fees are starting to become a burden.

Alpine Direct $300 loan -- paid $360 so far
SDS Processing $300 loan -- paid $460 so far
Fox Enterprises $300 loan -- paid $360 so far

From what I'm reading here, my obligation to these companies is done. I'd like to resolve this as quick and as easy as possible. Has anyone ever worked with these companies?

Thanks for the help.

Payday loans are not legal in the state of New York. You are only morally responsible to pay them the actual amount borrowed on the loan. As I see, you owe $60 from Alpine, $160 from SDS and $60 from Fox. You need to close your bank account ASAP if you want to protect your money.

Look at the following thread to know about how to deal with these illegal lenders: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/illegal-pdl-dealings.html.

Yes, they owe you the money. Check out the letter that is there in the link I have provided you. Send them a mail stating that since they are illegal in your state and you have paid more that the original loan amount, they owe you the money. And file cases against these illegal lenders with the BBB, your states' AG and the New York State Banking Department.
