boy do they work fast  I contacted bbb yesterday and today ameriloan contacted back!!
They stated that they will agree on $160 money gram due by sept 5. I have had 2 payments of $60 each plus a return fee of $30 for a total of $150 pd to them.
Any suggestions to what to do. should i just pay the $160 and be done?
Please give advice thank you
wendy

I informed AIP that I worked for the state and that I know that the are illegal in my state, I left a message on a supervisor voice mail quoting law in my state and the fact that I have already paid principal, Do you think that they will still have audacity to harrass my supervisor, with knowlegde that I am a federal employee??

I have a loan for the amount of $200 and of course there was the $60 they want to charge forever. But I have had 2 payments of $60 withdrawn Plus a $30 overdraft fee from then when a payment returned, but went through couple days later.... so a total of $150.
Im thinking just pay them this 160 so i can be done with them. I like the money order idea. i really dont want to pay them by money as they suggest, but at least i know i have a trail and be done. Any thoughts, please let me know.
thanks

I think money gram is almost the same as a money order. I would go ahead and pay them off. Make sure to get a paid in full letter. Once you can that burden off your back it will give you peace of mind. Just make sure to keep all paper work that you get from them. You never know sometimes these illegal lenders will try to come back and get you. I had one that I paid off 2 years ago and they send me a letter asking for more money. Thankfully I had my PIF letter so they left me alone....

Do you really think i should say i will not pay the $160 becasue i did have a payment that didnt go through right away but it did a couple days later and they charged me $30 for that, so the $150 i pd is 2 interest payments plus a return check fee. I dont want to play with this too much, but should i tell them i feel i only owe the principal of $200. im not sure if i should count that over draft fee or not. but like you said with them being illegal they shouldnt have that either, oh what to do. lol
Please let me know what you would do.
Should i say ill only pay the principal balance of $200 if so i owe them $50 if i account for the overdraft fee i pd them, or $80 without accounting for the overdraft fee.
Please help me out as to what i should do, i do just want this behind me. I am just hoping they will be ontheir toes and give me a pd in full letter right after!!
thanks, please all advice is welcome.

For what it is worth, $160 is four times what you still owe. I also know the feeling of wanting this to be over. I have dealt with ameriloan myself and after a few go rounds with the BBB I got them to agree to accept what I had already paid. I would counter the offer through the BBB at least one more time. Just explain, once again, what you have paid, and what you feel you still owe. As for the Moneygram, I know that most people will adivse paying my money order only, but when I did finally settle with 3 of my PDLs I used Moneygram to close the deal. I verified that it was received and I have kept all my info together for future reference. Of course, in the end, the decision is yours and you must do what you feel is in your best interest as you are the only one who knows how this will impact your life. Keep us posted.

do you think that the $30 fee is something i can count towards this loan? or should i still pay that also. I was really thinking of counter offering, just not sure what option to go by. Did you pay by moneygram or money order to ameriloan.
how much did you pay them and how much was your loan if you dont mind me asking
thanks

I paid Amerlioan through Money Gram and it was fairly easy. They even gave me 2 months to pay the loan off. This worked well for me. I settled for principal with them and that was that. Kept all my receipts and they sent me PIF letter instantly.

wow you really got them all taken care of, that is awsome, did you have to go throught the bbb or how did you take care of this?

To answer the above question. I had help with the BBB, FTC, my state AG and SCC. Then I contacted processor for help. This was fairly simple for me. Sounds like alot but patience pays off. I had 11 loans like I said and settled them in 2 months no lie! LLW also can tell you he had his PDLs handeled fairly quickly.

Do not be hasty and pay more than what you owe. This is the PDL infamous method or "scare tactic" I suggest waiting it out and sendind that counter offer through BBB with more detailed info. Good Luck! :D

that is awesome. as of right now they want me to pay this by the 5th of sept, not much time, but i think i will counter offer, i guess thats all we can do is go back and forth. now wheni do this i assume they will not take anymore from my acct, guess thats not guaranteed is it, till we both agree on something.
thanks

I would counter and try to get them to accept what you have paid already as part of the principal. That $30 could be dicey, but they may go for it. At best, I would try for what you still owe on the principal (minus what you have already paid) and be prepared to kick in the $30 returned fees, at the offset. The moneygram payment went as smooth as glass and it was worth the $6.95 to get them out of my life.

I agree with anyaroberts, the principal amount is ALL you owe, no more. The ball is in your court, they are NOT licensed to lend, it's YOUR call not theirs. As far as payment, it's totally up to you, I prefer money orders because they are more economical to use, I wasn't going to spend any more of my hard earned money then I had to, but that's just me. lol

I am going to take your advice, thank you all so much.I am going to counter offer and see if they will accept a money order in the amount of $50 which will cover the $200 deposited into my account. I am accounting for the $30 as being part of payment, hope that works out for me. Im sure they will respond quickly,
thanks
