I have several loans & PDLs out. I live in the state of Texas and am not sure which are legal and if I still owe them.

Internet Based only:
AmeriLoan Original $400 - paid $440 (Paid $200 down+$120 finance, then renewed twice on the $200 owed at $60 each time)

CashNetUsa: Loan for $700: Due $836 (with fees) New loan and havent paid anything.

CashCall-WesternSky: Oringinal loan for $1500 (only received $1000 after the service charge was deducted) I have paid about $620

I need to know which is legal and with CashCall is it legal in Texas? I have tried looking online to see which are legal and am not sure how you find them if they are/arent.

Please help!

Cashcall isn't a payday lender, so they aren't required to follow the payday loan laws, and unfortunately the high interest they charge is legal, I would advise you to get them paid off asap because they are a nightmare to deal with.

Cashnetusa operated as a CSO in your state, but they are fairly reasonable to deal with.

Ameriloan is not legal in your state, CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

My personal experience with CashCall is they will not work with you until you actually get behind on a payment. If you send an email to the complaint email address on their website, they will respond and actually they are rather pleasant. Additionally, they actually will abide by your letter asking them to immediately cease debiting your bank account. Just make sure you send it to the address on their website for that purpose and send it return receipt requested. They will start calling and emailing you western union instruction after that. I had never missed a payment with them for 3 years. My balance? It's only $400 less than the original principal. The saying ..."if I knew then .." comes to mind. :-) I don't have bad feelings for defaulting on them because I feel I've paid the loan at least 2x over back. I'm in the process of getting ready to file bankruptcy and it was almost an odd feeling not to pay them this month. I'm not quite 30 days late with them yet, but I imagine they will step up the collection efforts shortly. They called nonstop for about 10 days and the calls have lightened up since Friday.
