Ameriloan and High Country Ventures

Can anyone tell me if Ameriloan and HIghCountry Ventures are legal to give loans in Minnesota? I have borrowed $300 from each and paid back $360 to Ameriloan and $270 to High Country Ventures. When High Country Ventures debits my account it shows up as pdl loan center. I was told they could only debit what I borrowed from them. If this is true how do I stop my next debit as it is due on Friday 6-12-09.

I checked the license database for Minnesota and did not find them. You can check the MN license database by visiting the link "http://www.commerce.state.mn.us/FSLicensees/il.html". Since they are illegal, you need to pay them only the principle amount borrowed. You should visit the bank and cancel the ACH authorization for these PDLs.
