First parties are not covered under the FDCPA so unless state law states otherwise, they can continue to call.
What state are you in? Is the lender even legal? Have you closed you bank account?
Have you already established they aren't licensed in your state?
Have you already established they aren't licensed in your state? Even if they aren't, there is really no way to stop them from calling, just hang up when they call and don't give them anyone to argue with, they will tire sooner of talking to thin air rather than someone to argue with.

I have sent out the letters gone through the routine. I know that they are illegal in Michigan. I have gone through BBB and they have said that Ameriloan is wrong but Ameriloan is saying BBB is wrong. Oh well. They just keep calling and I let it go to my voicemail. I just don't want it to go to collections at any point.

Yes, they are definitely not licensed in your state, the only thing you can do is dispute it if it does go to collections, you have a good reason to have it removed so don't become too stressed out over this, just keep an eye on your credit report, and cross that bridge when you come to it.
Is there a time limit you have to dispute it to get it off of yo
Is there a time limit you have to dispute it to get it off of your credit report? If so What is it? Does Ameriloan ever go to collections?

No to both questions, the sooner the better though. ameriloan isn't licensed to lend anywhere. What I meant was if they should turn it over to a collection agency, I doubt if that would happen though, just cross that bridge when you come to it!

actually if this illegal pdl sends it to collections.then you can send a DV letter.whoever they give it to has to abide by the FDCPA.it might be better to deal with a CA at this point than these idiots.

Ok.I will see where this one goes, but that raises another question. I had 2 loans go to Collections and paid them off before I found this site. I paid them because I didn't want them to mess with my credit and get them out of my life. I dealt with NCA who were nasty. Is there anything that I can do to get that money back or file a complaint if they bought an illegal loan. Thank you.

I have not recieved calls from anyone in over a month and all of a sudden I am getting calls again. Do I send them any more letters or does that stir the pot? Is it easier to just ignore Ameriloan?
