Fast Cash Rip Off
I got 250 from us fast ass cash and they have charged me 535 and are still charging my bank account. What can be done.
reply
for starters, close your current account and open a new one.stop payments won't work.these illegal pdl's will debit indefinitly if you allow it.cut off there access to your money.then send e-mails and letters demanding a PIF on your loan.that is what you do my friend.
My US Fast Cash Victory Story--Hope it helps!
had 2 internet payday loans with both US Fast Cash and NorStar Cash. They told me on the phone at the time of approval that the repayment terms were $390 on a $300 loan. I've since paid a total of $480 in illegal renewal fees because the pirates were raiding my account to the tune of $90 per loan every 2 weeks, plus another payment of $140 each. As of November 20, 2008, I RECLAIMED MY FINANCES by doing this:
1. I did research by Googling: "payday loan scam" and read similar accounts from other victims and got some valuable information, including telephone numbers and addressess. If you know anyone who does collections or skip tracing for a living, they can be a very valuable resource!!
2. I contacted US Fast Cash and NorStar Cash to ask them to skip a scheduled bi-weekly debit. I explained that I had a death in the family and needed to pay for funeral costs and therefore wouldn't be able to pay on the scheduled date. A bit scandalous of me to lie, but I bought me 2 weeks worth of time to plot my next move.
3. I then went to my bank and explained that I was the victim of fraud from 2 internet companies and asked them to close my account. I had a couple of legit charges still pending, so I had to wait for them to clear first. Because I had to wait for the legit charges, I asked my bank to reject ACH withdrawal requests from US Fast Cash and NorStar Cash in the meantime.
After the charges cleared, I closed the account and opened a new one with my same bank, no problem.
4. I then wrote letters to both companies, using this format:
I (your name here), hereby prohibit you or your affiliates to contact me via telephone at my place of employment or my home telephone number, effective immediately. I also prohibit you from calling the references listed on my loan application. Once I inform you of this, you must stop the telephone contact immediately or you will be breaking the laws of the state of California.
You are also hereby notified that I am revoking any voluntary wage assignment I may or may not have signed. I no longer authorize you, your company, or your affiliates to attach any parts of my wages or contact my employment for collection purposes.
I am revoking your right to debit my checking account effective immediately. Please be notified that I have informed my financial institution of this fraudulent situation and they have received a copy of this correspondence. Any further attempt at debiting my account will be rejected by my bank.
Finally, please be advised that I am taking legal action against your company. Your interest fees and multiple rollovers exceed the maximum allowed in the state of California. I will contact you again once my attorney is retained.
5. I then faxed the letter above to both internet companies and provided copies to my bank as extra security.
I found out that anger can be power, as long as you're not afraid to throw that knockout punch!!

My mother-in-law had this happen too. She had to give me power-of-attorney so I could close her account and open a new one. I can't figure out how to get the money back accept to open up a couple of accounts and request a bunch of loans then, withdraw the money and then close the accounts! It would serve these people right taking advantage of old people who are just trying to get by.

Even though in theory I sort of agree with you.... it really wouldn't make you any better then them if you did that. Trust me I wish there was a way to "get" these companies faster then going the legal route but.... integrity is also important. Close her account -- open a new one and start sending the refund demand letters. If nothing else it will make you feel like you are doing something.

soory, but stop payments do not work.especially with this illegal bunch.they have several d/b/a's and can use any one of them to debit,or change the amount of the debit,or put a paper check through.the best tact is to close that account, and open a new one.like the spirit of the post, but alas with illegal pdl's stop payments only cost the person, and really don't work.

USFastcash is a SCAM! They will take out more money from your account then what you had borrowed and what they are suppose to take out. We were suppose to pay back a total of 390 and they had taken a over a thousand dollars from my account to date.. What pissed me off is that i had to go through all my statements looking for all of this cuz i noticed that they were still taking out even after they got there 390... and they continue to take out until something is said. I had called 800-640-1295 and the lady said that oh your account is already paid in full.. and of course i was like "Its been paid off a long time ago and your scammin company is still taking from the account." she was telling me that the customers has never made a complaint supposedly... Apparently she was lying to me and im sure she has lied to everyone in the world as well... Well, I blocked the company from taking anything out.. I might have to go and close the account cuz from what i've read USFastcash still takes out even after they are blocked and stopped from taking from the account... So i will def tell my husband about this. At the same time i will email every person and company i know about USFastcash and warn EVERYONE about this scamming company..

You do realize neither of these lenders are licensed to lend in your state? All you owe them is what you borrowed to begin with, if you have paid them more than that, then you owe them nothing more, however, there is REALLY only ONE way to stop them, and that is to close your account, please CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.
Thank You

I am so thankful to GOOGLE and this site for all this info. I have closed my account with no problem from the bank and opened a new one with same bank. They have also opened a fraud case on my old account to try and get back the over payment of about $500 to 500fastcash... Lucky for me USASTCASH has only taken $405. I have emailed and faxed the letter everyone talks about so I quess now it is wait and see what happens.
Is there anything else I need to do at this point ?
Thanks again

Just be prepared for the threats and harassment, don't speak to them on the phone, if they call, tell them one time to email you and hang up. The more you talk to them, the more they will call, so, ignore their threats.
