Almost two years ago I made the mistake of taking out payday loans. After having several thousand dollars taken out of my account, I began researching and found this site. Using this site I was able to come to terms with 4 of 7 of the pdl. Of the three left, only one still bothers me, Ameriloan. I have sent DV and Cease/Desist emails to Ameriloan, letters to FTC and my AG. But Ameriloan still calls and leaves no message. In May 2011, I did answer the phone but got no where with the rep. Two weeks later I got a call that I was going to be charged with check fraud. I googled the phone number and found it was Midland, Ameriloan's CA. I know they have as much legal standing as Ameriloan in Florida: NONE. Anyway, I was wondering the thoughts on just call blocking them?
Thanks

Ameriloan is not legal in USA. So, if you have taken out a pdl from from them, then you are only required to pay the principal amount to them. You won't have to pay anything else. They are less likely to file a lawsuit against you since they are illegal in USA. These bottom feeders are trying to scare you. You can report the matter to the local police station and the telephone company. They may block their numbers.

You can try blocking the number; however, as Ameriloan is connected with MTE and they and their associates operate under SO many different names, the odds are that they will probably use another number to call. Too, these people hide from State and Federal laws behind an address on Indian tribal lands. Try contacting your State financial regulatory agency for suggesions on dealing with them.
