Interest rate killing me

I had a payday loan and the check was returned. They turned it over to a collection agency who is now charging 30% interest on the debt. I thought I had read that there was a limit to the amount of interest that could be charged on collections of these debts. Does anybody know anything about this? I am in Kansas.
