What to do if the pdl loan amount is more than the approved legal limit in the state? Does it happen ike that the borrower is obligated to repay till the approved lmit and pay only the balance on the remaining amount?

If the loan amount is greater than the state's legal maximum loan limit, the lender isn't obeying the laws of PDL lending.
Illegal payday lending is a crime. You don't need to pay the interest on illegal payday loans, only the principal that you need to take care of.

If the lender is not obeying the state's PLD laws, then they are tribal lenders. It is advisable not to take out PLD from illegal or tribal lenders since they create trouble in the future.

Try to check whether or not the lenders are legal and PDL is legal in your state.
