I am unable to even keep up with the biweekly finance charges. I am current right now but all come due next Friday. I can not pay this. I fell behind on my house payment, car payment and other bills all in an effort to keep these payday loans current. I used to have 7 but was able to take care of 2 of them. But I am just stuck now. I do not want to lose my home or my car.
What can I do?

Thats tough. Unfortunatley theres not much wiggle room with the storefronts. They are legal and will have to be paid. For sure at least a couple of those are members of the CFSA so for those you could request an EPP (extended payment plan) they will take your balance and divide it into 4 equal payments. But it does'nt sound like you can afford to do that.
I would suggest searching the name of each company in the box on the top right of this page and see what others are saying about each one. Maybe if even one would work with you on a payment plan would that free up enough money to pay the rest? If you have overdraft protection it might be worth it to let one of them put your check thru then you could pay the bank without all that interest.
Maybe someone else will come along with some better idea. Personally though if its between my mortgage and car or the pdl the pdl would wait. Is it possible you can get a second job maybe delivering pizza thats a good way to get fast cash.
I have a couple of storefronts myself that I just can't seem to get rid of so I know how you feel.

I am not sure of the EPP plan. I will have to see. I have been reading and I think my best bet would be to stop payment on the checks and to have them go to collections. From there I can work out some sort of plan. I will hopefully speak to a debt consolidation person tomorrow and get some more advice.
I have been applying for jobs as well. I am a teacher and am on summer vacation, not earning any money and staying home with my kids. So this is a really tough time for us. I put in applications at 4 places yesterday, looking for evening and weekend work.
