I have a loan through arrowhead for 130 total and i tried calling them because I will be unable to pay them on the 20th. (my account is overdrawn and my entire paycheck is going to pay it off)

a friend has agreed to pay the 130 for me. do you think I would be able to call them and ask to pay off the full amount before the 20th? i tried calling them but their number seems disconnected. I was thinking about sending a fax to them but i dont know if they will pay any attention to it. what do you think the best course of action would be? my friend prefers to pay with a debit card over the phone.

They might agree to it if you use a pre-paid debit or Visa card and do it over the phone. But most of these companies specify that you must contact them so many days BEFORE the due date in order to do so. Also consider this, they already have your account number, and nothing will stop them from continuing to debit your account, they are sneaky and underhanded and will stop at nothing to drain your account dry. Attempting to block them probably won't stop them because they might change their name and try to debit it that way. I wouldn't trust them at all, there are various posts at this forum about Arrowhead and they aren't very good reviews. You would be better off closing your account and opening a new one at another bank. Then call them and tell them your bank account is closed but you are willing to pay them off directly over the phone with a pre-paid visa card.
