Hi,
I live in Texas. I had a $300 loan with Idealgelt last year. After paying over $1k, I finally sent them a cease and desist letter that I found on your site because I think they are not licensed here in Texas. They sent me two emails, but then never contacted me again. Friday afternoon and this morning I received phone calls from Asset Acceptance at work telling me I now need to pay $650. So I have two questions:
First, is Asset Acceptance the kind of company that will continue to call me at work, because that will horribly damage my reputation there.
Second, do I need to pay Asset Acceptance the $650? I've paid so much money for that original $300 loan!
Please help! Thank you! Your site helped me restore my sanity last year -- this is the one holdover I have from a horrible 12 months of dealing with these monsters.

well you are right idealgelt is not licensed in TX.second do a search in the bar top right.it should give you an address to send assett acceptance a C&D letter.btw look at more than one thread for assett.they are the worst JDB on the planet, but you can get rid of them easily.bottomline you owe nothing to idealgelt, and they sold the debt to the biggest piece of JDB garbage on earth.do not pay them.you can file a police report for the calls to your work.

Okay, I'm going to send them a C&D letter today and hopefully that will stop the harassment. I was honestly thinking about just paying it so they wouldn't call me anymore, but then I read the threads and not even that works sometimes. Thank you for the advice. This forum has helped me immeasurably. I cannot thank this online community enough.
