Hello djessence2, you don't need to write anything fancy, just make it simple and to the point, such as:

The date
Your name and address
The name and address of the creditor
Your account number with the creditor

Dear Sir or Madam,

I hereby revoke your right to use the wage assignment I signed on (The date you signed the wage assignment agreement). You no longer have my permission to use this wage assignment.

Sincerely,
Your signature
Here's where I found it. :)

I took your advice and ended up in even more hot water. I revoked the wage assignment and they took me to arbitration. Now I have a small claims case against me AND I am looking at having to pay even more.

Thanks much, I sent it out yesterday and sent a copy to my employeer. One more question, I never received a letter of intent, nor did my employeer get a copy, do i also need to send a letter of Defence or will the one cancelining the WA agreement be good for now. I ask because I didnt have the 20 days notice and just received work from my employeer Friday, so I only have a couple days to get it to my employeer if i need to. Thanks so much for you help.

Too many of my employees are getting payday loans lately.
It always ends up badly because of the outrageous interest.
If I see the WAGE ASSIGNMENT through the envelope on a certified letter, I refuse it.
I truly hate these places.
I understand from what I have read her that my employees can revoke the wage assignment here in Illinois.
Can I inform them of this without getting in trouble?
I was thinking I could provide them with the template letter and instructions for what to do.
These PDL stores are ignorant and demanding when they call.
It would be nice if I could do this without risk of being sued.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the quick response.
We have one employee that actually fled the state after we started to garnish her wages.
I sent her the first email explaining what to do.
My motives are two-fold. I don't like that the PDL stores take advantage of people at their most vulnerable, but it really boils my blood when i get a letter saying they are going to sue me for non-compliance.

If this employee does send the revocation letter, what are the chances they are going to seek further action? Is there further action the PDL store can seek?
I don't want to give people the wrong advice and cause them more problems. This particular guy from this particular PDL store strikes me as vindictive. There is nothing I would like more than to tell him to fornicate with himself but not at the expense of other people.

Thanks for all your help!

being from IL.i can state that a storefront can take further action, but an internet pdl is 99& 44/100% illegal so they can't and won't do anything but call and be stupid with the threats.

This is definitely a local store front pdl store. There has to be something I can do as an employer to stop this crap. I think I am going to start writing to the state government. As you know, Blago, as crazy as he is, was against these places. He was citing them left and write for not following state laws.
There has to be something I can do as an employer to allow us to refuse assignments.

talk to ms.madigan's office and file an AG complaint.wage assignments are voluntary and revocable.unless it's a court ordered document you do not have to honor it.this storefront is acting illegaly in threatening you.they just don't want to get the court order so they try to threaten.ask them to cite the code for non-compliance.bet you they can't.

I agree. there is no payday loan company that can sue you and if they ever do, you can sue them back and win more then what your loan is for goin through the inconvenience. I would know i sue a company back here in Illinois.

My employer just informed me that Financial Solutions, LLC (Big Sky Cash) have sent them a wage assignment back in November 2010 and a second time, which he ignored. I live in Tennessee. Can I send them a revocation letter to clear the matter? Is the revocation letter valid in Tennessee? I need to know so I can send them as soon as possible. My employer wants me to take care of it, so he won't be served with garnishment papers next. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

*Very nervous*
