Dealing with the creditors are always a bad business and specially with the collectors. By fdcpa laws the creditors can't use obscene languages or can't harass you by calling repeatedly. Just tell them that you are pretty aware of your FDCPA rights and will only deal with them if they play by the rules.

Legal mediation is a collection agency .They are rude and do use illegal tactics. If You put the name in the search box above, you can read about other members experiences with them.
I have been dealing with Legal Mediation with two payday loans.
I have been dealing with Legal Mediation with two payday loans. And they are very rude and they lie. They call and give you a time to pay off your loan in full and they say that if it is not paid that they are just going to have to "deal" with you. I ask what do you mean? And they said talk with your attorney. Both people I have talked to through this company has said somebody is going to "deal" with me at my job or at my house. I haven't heard anything from them since then. They definitely try to scare you.
Just a heads up for everyone dealing with a collection agency us
Just a heads up for everyone dealing with a collection agency using the following tactics:
-threatening to sue you (when they don't intend to)
-threatening jail or arrest (they can't do that over a debt - debtor's prison was abolished quite some time ago - like 100 yrs ago or more)
-threatening to have documents "downloaded" to your county authorities (again, they can't do that)
-calling your supervisor at work to discuss your debt with them (against fdcpa)
If a collection agency does any (or all) of the above to you, they are breaking the law.
When they threaten to sue you, how do you know if they intend to or not, you might ask? Ask them for their attorney's name, address and phone number so you can give it to YOUR attorney so the lawsuit can be answered and handled by your attorney - if they don't intend to sue you, they will sputter and stammer and switch tactics very quickly - usually by either hanging up, yelling at you to just pay the bill, or making some other threat (like the other ones mentioned above). That's how you know they don't intend to sue you - and that is a violation of the FDCPA - threatening legal action without intending to actually do so.
