I would like to know if a payday lender can placed
a judgement against you. Avantis Financial did so.
Can anyone tell me if they are a legal lender?
I live in New Jersey and I know payday loans are illegal and can they do this?

IMO you need to fight back the judgement. File a motion to vacat
IMO you need to fight back the judgement. File a motion to vacate it. Ask the local court clerk for help.
I guess it is a default judgement, right? Unfortunately illegal lenders try every possible option to rip-off consumers.
