Sent out the letter letting the PDL know they are illegal in my state and to stop withdrawls out of my account. I even asked for a refund ( loan was for 300.00 and I paid back 780.00). Their collections replied back saying the contract was completed via the World Wide Web and the governing law is based in the isle and providence of Nevis West Indies Bahamas. I am so confused
PDL is Everest cash advance and I am in CA

be prepared as alot of your illegal lenders will send that crap.that is exactly what it is crap.your state law applies and they know it.they are just trying to see if you will believe their crap.don't they are illegal and re-send your email.keep re-sending.you are right, and they are wrong.last thing for this post.if you haven't filed AG complaints do so asap.

Every US bank and credit union has a standard form to reverse unauthorized electronic transactions. It is your right to revoke pre-authorized debits. Call up your bank or credit union and ask where you can get the form for unauthorized electronic debits. Send honest copies of this form to your bank every time they attempt to debit after you told them they couldn't. Your bank will refund you the amount they took plus any bank fees that wouldn't have occurred if they didn't debit to begin with. Your bank will also charge them a fee for each reversal.

I just wanted to add that i did file a complaint with the AG of Florida over a PDL company, and they really didn't seem to care that much. Told me to file with the AG of the state that the lender was in and to contact internet crimes division etc...but basically didn't offer any help from their office. I was very disappointed

i am too.since if a pdl isn't licensed in FL the loan is non-enforceable,or collectable.suprised they responded that way.do you have a name of the person who responded?again your AG has fought pdl's hard, and if someone in their office is not doing what they can to help you then you should report that person right away.
