I live in California and have an installment loan with Check N Go. Got me hook, line and sinker. Next month the loan payment due date is before my payday and so it will not clear. I called Check N Go twice to let them know and both phone reps told me there are zero options. That is the payment will attempt to go through and then they will contact me to make up the payment. Of course there is likely a huge fee and I tried to convince them I want to make good with them. I took the loan, and I have to pay it back. In the past I have had to make a payment late to say the electric company and they worked with me with no hesitation or run around.

After the very frustrating phone call I have turned a bit evil. I am 7 months into my 12 month loan with a due date in 4 days. I am prepared to let this puppy default and work with a human at a collection department. (Funny that we prefer a collection agency to the original debtor) So my plan with this next payment that is due in 4 days is to remove ALL my money from the bank. Empty my checking account to just a few dollars and let Check N Go bounce. Then ignore them. When the next payment is due (the payment I needed a one day extension for), I will again make sure there is nothing in there to take.

So that leaves me with this question. Obviously there is an NSF fee to be paid. So in my account I plan to leave $40 to cover that and then some. When Check N Go attempts recovery of this payment of $528 will it post? Basically will my plan backfire and I will check my balance and rather than seeing an NSF fee and a low balance will I see -488??

Thanks for any help.

Revoke ACH priveleges....pretty simple. THen their corporate office and get an extended payment plan. By revoking ACH rights, there is no bounced fees.
