Hi Everyone,

This is the response I received from the BBB regarding one of my complaints:

We have received your most recent correspondence in the above-mentioned complaint case. You have indicated that you are NOT satisfied with the business' response in the matter.

The business has not made any further concessions to their original response. Unfortunately, the BBB can not pursue the matter further. This complaint case is now considered closed UNRESOLVED.

The Better Business Bureau develops and maintains Reliability Reports on companies across the United States and Canada. This information is available to the public and is frequently used by potential customers. The company's level of cooperation in resolving to this complaint becomes a part of their file with the Better Business Bureau.

I haven't heard from the PDL in about a week. Any advice on how to proceed next or should I just play the wait and see game?

IMHO the BBB is useless....they have no legal authority and it is just a letter writing/pushing company. You should be using your state's AG office or the FTC for complaints....they have the power.

exactly SOAPLADY.file complaints with those two governing bodies.they will work for you better than the BBB will.especially your AG.

I agree with SOAPLADY :) I have gotten the same response but I am glad i filed, just so i have one more record (I filed with BBB, FTC, and Attorney General - but never got help from any of them)

Though the response is not what you were hoping for, it is always best to file. I had tremendous luck with the BBB with Ameriloan and for some reason I feel I would still be fighting them if it were not for the BBB. I had another case with the BBB regarding ARM of FL and there again they helped resolve the problem however with other complaints I received no satisfaction.

Keep in mind the people handling your BBB complaint are different in every state so I am sure some states are better thann others.

the BBB does not always do too much but I think it did open the communication gap for me and the companies. The problem is that most of the illegal companies have such bad records that they do not care if they have another one added. A big problem is that even if a file is closed, make sure it is marked as unsatisfied. i ignored one as it was closed and it was marked fully satisfied! i had to reopen it, i did not want others to think i had better success than i really did.

The way I see it with the BBB, at least, even if the file is closed, it gets the information out there for others to see. I had a file closed also, it was for Route 66, but that is just one more complaint against them that is for the public to see.
