I have now for the past 7 months off and on been getting calls from a company saying that I owe money to a payday lender I've never even heard of?? The man who calls refers to himself as "Officer" Alex Smith (BTW...deep Indian accent) and he needs to speak to me or my retaining attorney of record asap. One day I called him back, and basically told him not ot call me any F#*@---- more or I'll call the police and authorities on his bogus outfit.
Calls stopped for 2 months then started back, I just never return the call or pick up. Always with the most plain sounding name (i.e Dan Smith, Alex Smith, Dave Brown) but all deep accents that sound Indian. Company name may change but the same "speil" all the time.
How in the world do I get these folks to stop calling?? I really don't want to change my phones number.

just don't engage them,but as long as they have your info they will lay low for awhile then call again.however if you just ignore the a$$ clowns the calls will occur less frequently.as long as our gov't does nothing to them there really is nothing except for ignoring them we can do.if you have not filed FTC complaints do so.keep filing,multiple complaints.it will help in the long run.

I have another one for you.
Can I get Beacon Finance/Lending to refund any money from finace charges?
I got a loan for $200.00 roughly 4 months ago. I have been paying $89.00 every pay period twice a month. If you do the math, you'll see that I have been paying WAY MORE than the loan. I estimated they owe me about $900.00!
Also, how do I get any other contact info for Beacon besides a phones number?? I want to send them a request for a refund and send them the Illinois payday loan reform act as well.
What's strange is however this last pay period, they were supposed to dedcut the $89.00 as usual, but they didn't?? So I was thinking since my pay day was the 29th, and the 30the was over the weekend, perhaps they were waiting for Monday 5/2. Well, its' the 5th and no debit and I've heard nothing from them?!? What do you think happened?
