PDL Help in Texas
Date: Thu, 07/21/2011 - 12:27
Here is the breakdown:
?? Star Cash Processing ??? Owe $450
?? One Click Cash ??? Owe $500
?? National PDL ??? Owe $300
?? JVC Funding ??? Owe $300
?? CMG Group ??? Owe $300
?? Lakota ??? Owe $600
?? East Side Lenders ??? Owe $800
?? Integrity Advance - Owe $700
My last paycheck did not go into that account so all loans did not get paid and I received a $38 NSF each time they tried to take it out. My account is still open however it will be closed before my next finance charges will be taken out. What should my next step be? I plan on paying what I owe but don???t have it all now so I'm going to need them to work with me. What???s the best approach? Lakota claims they will garnish my wages through my employer (which I did not realize they could do). I'm also looking for any information on PDL laws in Texas or any info that would benefit me while I'm doing this.
Thanks in advance for your help.
You need to contact the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissi
You need to contact the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner and check out which of your payday lenders are licensed to operate in your state. You need to pay only the principal amount to those pdl companies which are not licensed to operate in your state. If some of the your payday lenders are licensed to operate in your state, then you should contact a debt relief company and take their help in consolidating your debts.
Hi, Get information about which payday loan company is legally
Hi,
Get information about which payday loan company is legally operating in your state. The ones that which are legal owe the principal amount and the interest rate but the ones that aren't do not owe the interest rate. If you're going through a financial hardship and you feel you can't repay the debts on your own, contact a debt consolidation company and combine them. Repay the payday loans in simple and affordable monthly installments after consolidating them.
Hope this will help you out..!!!
all are illegal
every single one of these is illegal in TX so just as an FYI we need the following.
1)amount debited by each lender thus far.
you see being these are all illagal you only owe the principle and anything they call"fees"debited by them gets deducted from that.try to recall that as you might be suprised by how little you do in fact owe.go to the sticky titled DEALING WITH ILLEGAL LENDERS at the top of the payday loan help forum.it has everything from template letters to the EFTA as well.do that and you can rid yourself of these leeches once and for all.
I don't know which ones are illegal but from what Paul says, it
I don't know which ones are illegal but from what Paul says, it appears that they are. We need to know how much you have paid each one and how much the original loan amount was...if you took out a $500 loan with one, and paid them $760 in fees on that same loan, you OWE THEM NOTHING MORE...they owe you $260.
Also, just a correction, in the state of Texas, no one can garnish your wages so take relief in knowing that much.
Good luck to you!! I was in same boat last February...although I had 4 legal lenders BUT I am down to just 1 now, and have been in negotiations with them to settle.
