Okay, so I'm obsessive compulsive and could not trust my local branch...even after 2 visits! Instead, I decided to call Bank of America's 800 number, ask for a supervisor who then transfered me to an account special-ist based out of NY.

She put a stop payment on the three pdl companies but, told me that if they tried to debit an amount OTHER than what they have been debiting, the stop payment would not hold.

I was about to slam my head against the wall in frustration  when she went on to explain that even thought it would take 3-5 days for my checking account to be closed for good, NO DEBITS OF ANY KIND would go through. They would not honor these debits, I would not be charged NSF fees and all I could expect would be a letter from them stating that these companies attempted to debit my account (written evidence...how perfect!) :D

So, whomever has Bank of America and is dealing with outrageous debits, make sure that you not only close your account asap but also, call their 800 number, ask to speak to an account special-ist and explain the situation. It gave me some piece of mind!

Shey can you please call her back. Explain to her that these companies use different names. They can have as many as 20 names they will try and hit your account with. Also they will pull the paper check routine put a check thru with a strange number. She needs to block all incoming transactions. Tell her you are lodging a complaint with thye Attorney Generals office. That tends to get the banks to cooperate. KYSIDE38

Thank You. I am just so happy I was on here to warn you. These companies are vultures and will try everything in the book. Best Wishes to you. KYSIDE38
