Why, of all things, would he want you to go take out a PDL? I mean, why not just ask around the church for someone who just happens to have some extra cash and could afford to part with it a while -- but not a PDL!

They're not going to put you in jail. The worst they could do (if they're legal) is file a lawsuit for the balance owed.

You really should go talk to the guy and explain that you incurred an obligation in helping him out, and now you need to make good on your obligation.

So sorry to hear this. . . if you can't trust a person of the cloth who can you trust? You need to address this ASAP and get it resolved.

Oh my, a Pastor of a church no less. I am afraid I would have to approach him and explain that you NEED the money to pay that loan back pronto. However, if he won't, then you need to make some type of arrangements to make payments on that loan. I'm sorry this happened to you.
