Harrassing calls from creditors regarding Great Plains loan
Date: Thu, 03/21/2013 - 09:59
I received a loan from Great Plains in 2012. Started paying on it but then had to stop due to financial reasons. Now I'm getting harassing calls from creditors. One in particular creditor called today from Credit Solutions legal process department. Said they were going to file a Complaint in my state (Georgia) and have the Sheriff serve me documents and that I had to go to Court next week to pay the loan or risk being jailed. Are they allowed to do that? I contacted Great Plains and they advised me that they don't have a record of me in the system! ??? So how did the Credit Solutions company get ALL my information??? What can I do????
Yeah…they are scammers. They
Yeah…they are scammers. They are just trying to scare you. Don’t share any personal information with them. Next time if they call you back, hang up on them.
Because the are bottom feeder
Because they are bottom feeder scum... You can not be jailed for debt at all.. if they call again just ask for a debt validation which they have to provide and ask for an address so that you can mail them a Cease and Desist letter.
They are never going to come
They are never going to come up with their physical address just by asking. The next time they call, ask them to have the sheriff serve you and hang up. Ignore further calls. File complaints with the AG and the FTC.
