Greetings all,

I found this website on Monday after searching for a way to get out of payday loan hell. I decided to follow the advice found on the site and sent out cease and desist letters to all 10 loan companies. Today I received replies from 2 companies, one is reviewing my letter and options and the other said that they are willing to write off my loan. Below are my loan details:

VIP Loan Shop $500 loan $3225 paid (stupid I know, they agreed to write off may balance; they did not respond to my request for refund or pif ltr)
500 Fast Cash $450 loan $895 paid
United Cash Loans $300 loan $500 paid
Salary Fast $200 loan $567.20 paid
Paycheck Today $500 loan $985 paid
My Cash Now $380 loan $151 paid
Payday Max $290 loan $0 paid
Sure Advance $400 loan $0 paid (they arereviewing my letter and options)
Brighton Financial $200 loan $0 paid
EZ Payday $350 loan $0 paid

I asked for refunds and pif letters from the ones I overpaid and let the ones not paid yet know that I want to pay the principle only. I was only able to freeze my BofA acct. but Chase let me close my acct. and open a new acct., Chase also told me that if I incur any fees on my closed acct that as long as I bring proof of fax, email etc of the C&D letters that I can file a claim to get fees refunded to me. I faxed and emailed my letters on Tuesday and today(Wednesday) to all of the loan companies; do I just sit and wait now?

I received an email from Brighton Financial with and attachment:Mr/Mrs/MS TreddWater,This e???mail is a reminder that your account is extremely delinquent. We have not received a payment or any attempt by you to makearrangements. It is important that you respond to this e???mail immediately in order to avoid further action to collect on this debt. If youhave already contacted us in regards to this matter, please accept our apologies.Thank You.Sincerely,Brightonfnlphone 1???800???738???0894help@Brightonfnl.comI just took out this loan last week so the first payment would have been due tomorrow. I replied to them:Thank you very much for your response. However, the attached document isincorrect. The due date of this loan is August 6, 2010, I also have a callrecording of a Brighton operator stating such as well as the amount due. I wantvery much to pay you the principal amount due, please forward me an address tosend my payment of $200 to you.Regards,TreddWaterAm I still on the right track here? Why would they send a false email statement to me? If it was to bait me into calling them I taken't take it, I will follow Shazzers advice and not discuss this with them over the phone. Any advice?

Yes, you're on the right track, of course they won't agree and will try to convince you that they are in the right, but of course we both know they aren't. I would tell them if they won't provide a valid physical address, there will be no payments, throw the responsibility back on their shoulders.
