Looks like Brookwood is an installment loan and therefore does not follow PDL licensing and regulations. If they do take you to small claims, you will be served by the Sheriff or a 3rd party Server. At this point, you should have the right to consent or deny. If you consent, you can request payments thru the courts or you may have to request directly before the judge. If you deny, you will have to present your case before a judge. The process should take 30-60 days in most cases. As for garnishment/asset seizure, they need a judgment before it gets to this point. If you have no job, there is no garnishment until you do and they request it. They can complate an asset seizure after the judgment for funds in your checking/savings or a "lien" against investments. I would contact them and try to work out arrangements that you can keep to inorder to avoid additional court costs.

I have found Brookwood pretty easy to work with. I would recommend following PDLOwner's advice and give them a call. They might work something out with you.
