Internet PDLs - FL
Date: Wed, 08/22/2012 - 10:59
Hi All,
First, just want to say that finding this site has brought me back from the brink, so many thanks to everyone for your stories and advice.
I know this has been addressed over and over again, but just wanted to get your opinions as to which way I should go. hese PDLs are ilegal, and once I can confirm, I would like to go the route of dealing with them myself per the instructions in this forum.
I have the following pd loans. All are only interest payments made, except Plain Green and one click cash:
247 greenstreet - 600 principal, 125 fees (not paid yet)
ameriloan - 500 principal, 150 fees (not paid yet)
idealgelt - 1000 principal, 300 fee (paid 225)
cash in a wink - 1000, 250 fee (250 paid)
vip loan shop - 300, 90 fee (135 paid)
Plain green - 505 remaining, 800 original (WAY more fees than 800)
one click cash - 150 remaining, 500 original (WAY more fees than 500)
I am mainly trying to find out if they are legal in FL, and then going after them.
One thing i did not see addressed here very much - what about those wage assignments? Is it common for them to come after you at work? What do I tell my boss, coworkers, HR/Payroll, if anything?
So embarassing and of course, I should have known better. But, am willing to face a little embarassment to be able to afford, you know, food and electricity again.
Any thoughts or opinions appreciated.
Thank you!

All the 7 payday loans are illegal in your state. You can talk with the HR about the voluntary wage assignment. If the illegal payday loan lenders call your boss, then tell him/her that they don't have the license to do business in your state.
