CRG and Associates

On Friday, October 14, there was very rude man who called my worked informing two secretarties that I had to call him right away or I would be served court summons for check fraud. In the second call, he actually spoke with my boss and my boss told him not to call back. This rep was Scott Mathews, 888-423-8806 and left a bogus case number. I tried twice to reach this guy, but he was out. The second time I spoke to another rep ( I recorded the call informing him that I was). He said it was in regards to a pdl from 09. It took some time but he told me they were CRG and Associates and that they were a collection company. I asked that they send me written confirmation and he agreed to do so via email. I verifed he had the right email. I also asked that they refrane from calling me at work for a couple of weeks so I could look into the matter and he agreed. I have yet to receive an email.
Today, another rep called and was very rude. I told him I dispute his infomation. I told him that my boss had told them not to call back and he wanted the bosses name which I gave. I tried to asked about the email but he hung up.
The pdl was from CMG off the internet and they are not licenced in Florida. They never answered my request for info so I guess it is now making the CA rounds.
So here are a few questions:
1. Two secretaries were told that I may be served a summons for check fraud. Is that enough to go after them for Federal fines for sharing info with a third party?
2. My boss told them not to call me at work and I have a legally obtained recording of me telling them not to call me at work. Can I use this to go after them for more federal fines?
3. Does anyone have contact info for them in the way of address?
