I have received several call from these people and I also am wondering what to do about them. They called me at work and called my Fahter and left messages saying they were with a legal firm and that this involved a legal matter that I had committed fraud and would be served papers at work for possible jail time...WTH.. I talked to them and told them to send me paperwork and gave them the email address and They sent something that was typed up ( not on a letter head) telling me about dect. I had agreed to pay some of it but when I saw how they sent letterhead I changed my mind because I got suspicious. Now today they are calling me at work AGAIN and I told them not to because I could lose job and they said because I did not honoring debit coming off card they wre going to get me for writing bad check.. So what do I do.
this is not a real law firm
first off a real,and legit law firm doesn't threaten you with fraud.that in and of itself is a crime.secondly calling your work after they were told not to is also against the law.first thing you do is stop talking to these losers as they are not a real law firm.next file a police report using any ph#'s you have.then ignore them as an email doesn't count as it must contain info so you can dispute the debt.like and address to send such dispute.bottomline a criminal scam that needs to be reported then ignored.
