Can Illegal Lenders Really Take Me To Court??

A few days ago, I received the following voice mail message on my cell phone (not exactly word for word but this is the main gist of it):
"This is Hannah Parks. A formal complaint has been filed earlier this morning for several different matters. I'm calling to verify that I have the right address for this individual. Next step will be to file the necessary paperwork with the _____ Superior Court. (My local superior court). If you wish you to speak to the plaintiff you may call them at _______. You have officially been notified".
Later that same night, my mom called me all worried sounding to let me know about a message that had been left on her answering machine earlier that day. Turns out it was more or less the same exact message that I had gotten that morning.
I also maybe a few weeks back received a similar message from a man named Marshall Cooper except that his message said he was getting ready to file the necessary paperwork with ____ District Court (my local district court). His message also said that I had been officially notified.
I also got a call not that long ago from a Tina Coggins saying that I have several cases pending against me for bad checks.
I do have 3 payday loans that I defaulted on a ways back (Ameriloan, Online Advance & Anasazi Group). From the research I've done online, it looks like all 3 of those payday loan companies are NOT licensed to lend to consumers in the state that I live in. Since that would make them illegal lenders, they can't take me to court or can they? Is this just a scare tactic they're using to try to use on me?
Ameriloan I paid a large portion of the principal before defaulting on my loan with them. Online Advance & Anasazi Group I still haven't paid anything to. Once I realized they were illegal lenders, I closed out my bank account (per the advice I read on these boards) as I was really concerned that either they or their affiliates might start making unauthorized debits on my account. I did however email each of them a letter revoking ACH authorization, telling them it had been brought to my attention that they weren't licensed to lend in my state & asking them to provide me with a mailing address that I could send money orders to in order to pay off the principal balance on my loan with them. However, after I sent them that email their response was to tell me my account was being turned over to collections & they never did provide me with an address to mail payments to.

Typically WRONG answer from unregistered poster who doesnt have a clue what the hell they are talking about.
Illegal loans can take you to court....your defense is the loan is flawed as the lender is unlicensed and thus the paper is dirty...the contract null and void.
