So I need advice/help/pointed in the right direction. I live in Texas and have 2 Payday loans coming due on Friday. One from Ace Cash Express for $980.72 and one from PayDayMax for $1341.69.

Without going into a sob story, I cannot pay either of these. If I extend the loans, PDM wants $591.69 and ACE will let me extend for $230.72 (see below for breakdown).

My thing is - I don't want to extend. I want to make payments towards them but I cannot afford what they are wanting. They both have rights to debit from my checking account Friday, is there anything I can do to prevent this? I do want to pay off what I borrowed, I'm not looking to get out of it... I just have no way of being able to pay this and still provide rent for my family... Its either rent or loan payment. Please someone help point me in the right direction... Should I revoke ACH privileges and when they call ask to make small payments (I could do $200 each loan each month)??

ACE:
Current Principal Amount:
$750.00
Current Fees:
$230.72

PAYDAYMAX
Charge Amount Min. Due Principal: $950.00 $200.00 Finance Charges: $391.69 $391.69 Total: $1341.69 $591.69

ACE: Legal
PAYDAYMAX ILLEGAL CANADIAN LOAN

Paydaymax is illegal...you owe principal only....no fees and no interest. Pay them back at your convenience and concentrate on paying back ACE. Follow the link in my signature line for information on how to deal with illegal loans.

Thank you!!! I read your link and I will revoke privileges and close my account today but what do I need to do regarding ACE? They also want to debit tomorrow what is owed but how will that work if I close my bank account?? Do I need to revoke both ACE and PayDayMax??

Payday lenders just can't do whatever they want. They have some legal obligations. It would be better if you consult a lawyer. There are some services like myquicklawyers that pair up distressed clients with a lawyer for free. You may opt for such help.
