Hi, I was looking for a payday loan a few months ago and I saw Hydra Fund deposit 200 dollars in my account. I never signed anything or talked to anybody from Hydra fund. I dont know anything about them. but since then they have tried to get money from my bank account which is now closed because of insufficient funds. yesterday i got a call from a collection agency saying they will contact my job and start legal proceedings if i dont pay. they will settle for four hundred dollars. I dont know if I should pay them or what.

Hydra Funds is an illegal payday lender. Read the link in my signature line for information on how to deal with them.

Send the CA attempting to collect a cease and desist letter telling them to get lost.

I hereby demand you cease any and all contact with me and anyone associated with me in regards to account #___________, original creditor Hydra Funds. Hydra Funds is an illegal offshore lender not licensed in my state or any other state in the US and as such, the loan contract is dirty, rendering it null and void.

Govern yourself accordingly...

Whatever the collectors said was utter BS. DO NOT fall for any of the stuff that they are trying to sell you. Inform your supervisor/reception/HR that these people would be attempting to disrupt you at work and their calls should be ignored/number blocked because they are nothing more than a bunch of thieves and con artists. Follow Soaplady's advice to the mark and get this thing buried for good. If you do not mind me asking, what is the name of the collection agency?

P.S: From the next time on, if you see unwanted, unapplied for funds magically appearing in your bank account, talk to the bank authorities and have the charges reversed immediately.
