In order for someone to garnish your wages they need a court order.I believe that you are talking about a wage assignment, which are all voluntary. To pLay it safe just send a letter to all of your pdls.

Cash Central offered settlement today
Cash Central offered me a settlement today (I am in PA.) Original loan was $500 - they say I owe $770 between principal, NSF fee, and finance charges. I have already paid $125 - they want to settle for an additional $500. I think I originally offered them $422 because I was off on the math. My thought is that I offer them $375 firm and final, and have already copied the UT BBB, who acknowledged receipt of the complaint. Should I counter offer the $375 for PIF and copy the UT BBB again, referencing the complaint number? They claim since they are licensed in UT, UT law applies, not PA. Thanks..

dointelecom doesnt hurt to ask. They are apparently legal so they could go after the full amount but they may also take your offer just to get their money.

Unfortunately to be legal in PA all they have to have is a license in some other state, which they do, so their Utah laws do apply to you. Sucks that PA is that way, but they are.

Thanks, guys. Here is the funny part...I referenced David Dunkley in my email to them, and they quickly denounced that he had anything to do with their company or that they had ever been connected to Quik Payday!

Are they connected with Quik Payday? I've never heard that before . . . . . I'm interested in where you got this info!

Hi Goudah...I have a link to one of the Odgen Newspapers and the article is interesting. I think the fact that I pointed out the connection really set them off. A cross reference check on the bbb also shows that some of the same key folks at Cash Central were also formerly associated with Quick Payday. Per forum rules, am I allowed to post the link or do I need to PM you? Thanks
